Great idea, leaves much to be desired
Great idea, enable your mobile device to be your on the ground tour guide and save on roaming fees... and the interface all and all is pretty nice, but the app quickly feels very green.. as in not as mature as it should be, or to put it another way lacking polish and depth. The following are some examples:
1) There is sufficient but not a huge amount of hotels, restaurants etc.
2) The general guide or overview which they call "General Info" is buried in the more button, lacks pictures, style and links to further information (in most cases)
3) During planning, after inputing the location of your Hotel the app still gives you the distance to points of interest based on your current location... not from where you will be staying once you start your vacation.
4) Doesnt support multiple devices, the itinerary I started to build on iPad doesnt transfer to my iPod touch not even after syncing both with iTunes
5) Looks like garbage on an iPad
6) No link between the companys destination blogs and their apps... so you read about something cool on their blog but now I have to manually input it into their app...
Its the best implementation Ive seen to date of this great idea, hopefully free updates will address many of the issues Ive listed above... without the issues being addressed I cant give their app more than 3/5.
